This is really a Very Good Article, which talks about some of the reasons why stretching isn't the only answer when we have flexibility issues. If any of you have wondered why I'm such a fan of "neural mobility" work, it's related to the same ideas (although she doesn't refer to it specifically here). But she's right, the nervous system runs the show, and how we move throughout the day is more important than what we do for the hour or so while we're "exercising".
